Alumna founders in MedTech

The Entrepreneurial Alumni Group would like to thank your participation in the Business Networking Event for alumna founders in Medtech held on Thursday January 23rd, 2025 organized in collaboration with Novel-T at Incubase.

Our mission is to harness the strength of the UT alumni community to support the growth of these remarkable projects. To that end, we've compiled a list of each entrepreneurs' requests for collaboration and guidance, along with ways to connect with them directly.

Kiki Liu co-founder of Twente Medical Optics

We’ve developed the first handheld laser perfusion imager for real time blood flow monitoring during & after surgery, helping prevent necrosis after mastectomy.

Currently our latest working prototype is up and running and multiple hospitals are already collaborating, with more on the way. We have a well-defined regulatory and go-to-market strategy, and we have secured funding from NWO Take-off Phase 2 & Imec-Istart.

We’re looking for support in two key areas:

  1. Funding: We are preparing for a pre-seed round (for further engineering) and a seed round (for clinical studies). How to tackle this?
  2. Do you know possible strategic partners (national/international)?

Vosfox Medical has successfully set up its facilities for manufacturing sterile medical devices and achieved ISO 13485 certification.

Our next step is to grow our customer base and service offerings.

Who we’re looking for:

  1. Do you know any design-engineering companies developing devices or consumables that require sterilization? We’d love to connect!
  2. Do you know someone with deep expertise in sterilization regulatory affairs who could advise us? We are considering purchasing an ETO steriliser that doesn’t fully comply with the harmonised standard ISO11137.
