The 40th European Membrane Society Summer School
will take place at the campus of the University of Twente (UT) from
July 6th to 11th, 2025
Hosted and organized by the Department of Membrane Science and Technology, the EMS Summer School is aimed at providing a comprehensive overview of the field of membrane science. Experienced academics and industrial experts in the fields of membrane materials, process characterization, and membrane process/product development will provide lectures in various fields where membrane technology plays an important role. During your week at the EMS Summer School, you will cover topics such as membranes & processes for water treatment, in the chemical industry, in electrically-driven conversions or separations, the food sector, and healthcare.
The program of the Summer School is aimed at any participant wanting to expand their overall knowledge on membranes, whether chemistry, fabrication, transport phenomena or process design. Early-stage career membrane scientists in academics, or industrial participants, looking to broaden their knowledge in the field and network with a large group of similarly motivated participants will benefit from attending the course. Emphasis from our speakers is placed on providing personalized stories on taking products from lab to industrial practice. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to refine their essential skills.
