Resume:
Gianluca Tanzini was born in Frosinone, Italy, in 1988. He has studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rome, La Sapienza, since 2007. After finishing his bachelor in Clinic Engineering with an assignment for DIET department in La Sapienza about 'Chromatographic analysis with differential diodes in the food field', in 2012 he started the Master in the same university.Now, he started his graduation assignment at MCS.
During the studies he did several part-time jobs.
Current assignment:
Within his master project Gianluca is working on so called pre-concentratorchips with the aim to analyze the amount of specific Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) present in exhaled breath that are indicators for cystic fibrosis. Since these VOCs exist in very low amounts in patients, we need to preconcentrate these species in a small volume, which he does in chips.
