Magdalena Malankowska was born in Poland on 3rd of July 1988. She received her BSc in Chemical Systems of Environmental Protection in Gdansk University of Technology in Poland with the specialization in mercury transformation in the environment in 2011. She continued her study in the European master programme: Erasmus Mundus Master in Membrane Engineering where she obtained a multiple degree from the University of Montpellier in France, University of Paul Sabatieur,Toulouse in France, University of Technology, Prague in Czech Republic and University of Zaragoza in Spain in 2013. In the master thesis she worked with silver and titanium nanoparticles as an antibacterial compounds for water purification. In September 2013 she started her PhD project - Erasmus Mundus Doctorate in Membrane Engineering (EUDIME) at the Institute of Nanoscience of Aragon in the University of Zaragoza. She is fabricating an artificial lung oxygenator in the form of a microfluidic device. Currently she is a 6 month visitor in the University of Twente at the MCS group under the supervision of Roald Tiggelaar.
