BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Gustav Strijkers is principal investigator and group leader within the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Physics at the Amsterdam University Medical Centers. He also holds an adjunct professorship at Mount Sinai General Hospital in New York. Earlier in his career, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University in the United States. He is widely recognized for his contributions to the development of innovative MRI techniques, particularly in addressing critical healthcare challenges such as cardiovascular diseases and skeletal muscle disorders. Recent projects focus on the development of MRI acceleration methods to expedite cardiovascular imaging and enable dynamic imaging of the musculoskeletal systems.
