BIOGRAPHY
Frank Simonis studied Biomedical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He graduated from the TU/e on research focused on a novel method to obtain T2 maps of the mouse heart. He started his PhD at the University Medical Centre of Utrecht to investigate the body's physiological response to local RF heating caused by MR measurements. He started as assistant professor with MD&I in 2016 where he helped develop the educational line of MRI in Technical Medicine and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente and is (partially) responsible for 3 courses on advanced MRI. His research focusses on upright MR imaging (gynecological, vascular) and using MRI physics for shortening sequences.
