Jeroen Schlief was born and raised in Arnhem, the Netherlands. After high school, he studied Advanced Technology at the University of Twente. He completed his bachelor assignment at the Magnetic Detection & Imaging group, where he started to work with the SuperParamagnetic Quantifier (SPaQ). He continued studying at the University of Twente, now the master course in Biomedical Engineering. The Imaging and Diagnostics track lead him back to MD&I to continue working with the SPaQ as part of his master thesis.
