Performing minimally invasive interventions requires a clear view on the anatomy as well as surgical instruments. MRI can image these, but is too slow to be used during an intervention. In this project, fast MRI methods and interactive visualisation tools will be developed to provide accurate visual feedback to the physician, enabling more effective treatment of patients.
This project aims to develop fast MRI image acquisition techniques, together with real-time image analysis tools and virtual reality visualization and control. This integration aims to establish MRI as a comprehensive and interactive imaging modality and provide the physician with accurate visual guidance and feedback during the procedure.
