Burcu Gumuscu has been a postdoctoral research in the MSC group from 1 november 2018 till 1 April 2020, during which period she has performed research on the biomolecular analysis of cell and tissue materials by applying (bio)chemically modified hydrogels. These materials were casted by her in unique shapes, applying nanotechnological methods, to make them ready for implementation in microfluidic devices and sensors, that can be used in e.g. clinical diagnostics.
Currently Burcu is a tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at TU/e, where she continues her research on lab-on-a-chip devices containing hydrogels for diversified life sciences applications.
