CANCELLED

  • CANCELLATION ANNOUNCEMENT

In view of the worldwide developments of the Corona-crisis we decided to cancel the European Cryogenics Days. At this moment, the situation in Europa is rapidly deteriorating and it is unclear what the coming weeks will bring. Anticipating on earlier developments in China, we hope that by the end of May the worst is over, but most probably the situation of daily life will not yet have returned to “normal”. It is not decided yet whether the ECD will be postponed to later this year, or whether it is completely canceled and the next ECD will be the one in 2021.

On behalf of the local organizing committee and the Board of the CSE,

Marcel ter Brake and Srinivas Vanapalli

Welcome to the fifth European Cryogenics Days, May 24-26,  2020

This 5th ECD is organized by the University of Twente in collaboration with the Cryogenics Society of Europe and the High-Energy Physics network (HEPTech)

The event will start on Sunday May 24 with a program that is especially intended for young researchers. On Monday 25th we have the annual meeting of the Cryogenics Society of Europe followed and continued on Tuesday 26th by invited talks on all aspects of cryogenics, an industrial exhibition, and a visit to UT laboratories including cryogenic facilities. Ample time will be provided for one on one meetings.

All talks will be plenary and on invitation only. In addition, young researchers are stimulated to submit posters for presentation and discussion.

Participation including social events is free of charge for members of the CSE. Non-members need to contribute a minor fee of 50 euros.

Save the dates! Additional details including registration information will be published early 2020.

Please contact ecd2020@utwente.nl with expressions of interest or any questions.

We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting event at University of Twente!
