Biography
Tanja Fehm is a full Professor and Head of the Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics at the Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU), Germany. Her major research interests are minimal residual disease in breast and gynecologic cancers. Her clinical focus is minimal invasive surgery, onco surgery and high-risk delivery. Currently, her work focuses on the development of clinical studies and associated translational research projects in order establish CTC-based therapeutic strategies.
Prior to joining the HHU, Tanja Fehm was a senior physician at the Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics, University Hospital Tuebingen (clinical director: Prof. Dr. D. Wallwiener). Before that she was a postdoctoral research fellow at Cancer Immunobiology Center, UT Southwestern, USA (Dr. Vitetta / Dr. Uhr) and became an adjacent assistant professor. Tanja Fehm studied medicine at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany.
