Four times per year the Climate Centre organizes the Climate Café: an informal event where you can meet and be inspired by people who are passionate about education and research that supports climate action. Researchers and students share their work to fight climate change and we will inform you about the latest developments and future plans for the Climate Centre itself. Of course, there will be room for your questions, your ideas and comments, and time to connect with your fellow researchers at UT.

GeoTechnoSocial perspectives on Climate Justice
In this edition of the Climate Café, in line with the UT Climate Centre's 'GeoTechnoSocial' approach, three different UT colleagues will share their thoughts related to climate justice. After the three presentations (about one hour in total), we are looking forward to an open conversation, including the audience, about the topics touched on by the speakers.
- Gerard Martínez Görbig (urban planning) will introduce us to assessing climate-related actions with regard to justice and equity issues, with energy poverty in Europe as an example of an injustice. You can read more in this Utoday interview or on the website of the LOCALISED project.
- Boelo Schuur's (chemical engineering) topic will be: 'A biobased and circular economy needs biomass – a global challenge with industrial as well as societal hurdles'. You can read more about his work on the UT Stories website.
- Michel Bourban (philosophy) will discuss the theoretical and the practical sides of climate justice, with a reflection on how we can close the theory-action gap. You can read more on his personal website.
