Try a mix between tennis and squash with our Padel course!
Padel is one of the fastest growing and most popular new sports in the Netherlands. Padel is played with 4 people on a padel field which is surrounded by glass walls. The sport is easy to start with and with our 8 or 10-weeks course you will learn the basics of padel. You will develop your skills and improve yourself over time. If you already have experience with Padel, the advanced course might be more interesting for you! Check all the info about the courses below.

You have little to no experience playing Padel. You still need to learn the basic strokes, rules of the game, and how to develop both offensive and defensive strategies from the ground up. If you’ve never taken a lesson before and are unfamiliar with Padel strokes like the forehand, backhand, serve, lob, Bandeja, Vibora, Chiquita, and smash, or if you don’t know the rules and how to use the walls, and have little to no experience in match play where technique and tactics are crucial for both offense and defense, then this is the right course for you.
After the first or second training, the trainers will assess whether you have the skill level for this course and may determine you need to be reassigned to another course that is better suited to your level. It is important that you register to the course that suits your level, as transfer is not always possible (that course may already be full).
PROGRAM 2025-2026
Day/time:
Thursday 16:00h- 17:00h
Duration:
8 or 10 weeks
Costs:
€75 for UnionCard holders (students) (10 week course)
€75 for CampusCard holders (employees UT and others) (10 week course)
This course is suitable for players who already have padel experience and have a reasonable grasp of the basic skills. You have previously taken padel lessons and are familiar with the fundamental strokes. You can return the ball from the back wall and understand how to position yourself on the court, although you're still working on improving this.
You are capable of occasionally building a rally and are trying to play both defensively and offensively, but you don't need to have full control over this yet. You're eager to improve your game and learn how to bring more control, direction, and tactics into your play.
Important to know before signing up: You can only register for this course if you already have some experience with padel and have mastered the basics of the game. If you haven't taken any lessons yet or are not confident with the fundamental strokes, we recommend signing up for the beginners course, where you’ll learn the basics at a steady pace.
