Keti Koti Table

Keti Koti means: chains broken. Exactly 160 years ago, the Netherlands abolished slavery in Suriname and the Antilles. To celebrate this, Saxion, the municipality of Enschede and UT are organising a Keti Koti Table. This is a new tradition in the form of a meal where you discuss questions and exchange experiences with your fellow diners. In between, the Fri Yeye choir will sing songs that, like the discussions and the dinner, will focus on slavery and discrimination, past and present. Register by 15 September at: a.heukels@utwente.nl (participation free of charge; students get priority). In collaboration with SAB-ITC. This program is in Dutch and English.
