During the International MicroNano Conference in the Supernova Jaarbeurs Utrecht the Translational Organ-on-Chip Platform (TOP) was awarded the Philips Innovation Services (PInS) Startup Award of the Year 2019. The TOP team wins a deep dive at PInS to think about further development and commercialization of the technology.
Berend van Meer received the Award on behalf of the TOP team. TOP is a technology to make Organ-on-Chip devices Plug-and-Play. ”Much like almost all computer equipment is standardized through USB, Organ-on-Chip devices should make the life of a biologist easier”, says Berend van Meer.
