Physics consists in observing our environment and proposing minimal laws to account for our observations in order to predict.

In this conference, the environment is Sports. In this domain, one of the goals is the optimisation of performances, a problem  which usually involves a mechanical side coupled to a physiological counterpart. To illustrate these two sides, we will address two topics, one associated to human motion in which we will discuss the physics of muscles and the other related to the friction in fluids in which we will discuss the synchronicity in rowing. Finally, we will open the discussion to the areas that remains to be explored in this Sports Physics domain.
