Pre-Session: Portable kidney

Prof. dr. ir. Dimitrios Stamatialis devoted his research activities to create a portable kidney device, an artificial implant with kidney cells that improves the lives of kidney patients, it makes dialysis redundant and prevents surgery.

Crucial partner is the Kidney Foundation, Jasper Boomker, a program manager on the portable kidney project. In this session, he will focus on the collaboration with UT and many other partners that together build on the route to successfully implement this dream into an adopted way of life.
