Time management: bringing focus to your leadership & career

You don’t have time to follow a workshop? Than this is one you should not miss!

As a scientist you have a lot of different responsibilities: teaching, research, management tasks and acquiring funding. All these demands may leave you spread thin, overwhelmed and not being able to spend time on what is really important to you. The consequences on the long term may be serious: burn out, missed career opportunities and a feeling of dissatisfaction. But also if you are quite effective at work, there can still be a lot to win.

During this course you will learn easy applicable techniques that will help you save time and reach your (long term) goals. For instance, we will be working on:

-Getting to know your time management tasks

-Dealing with the ‘inbox-monster’

-Organizing your work in a smart and fun way and

-Making time for what is really important.

Afterwards you will be more focused, able to work more effectively on your career and be a better leader.

This is not just any time management course. We will pay special attention to specific gender issues like, dealing with a limited amount of work-time due to private responsibilities and overcoming to much responsibility, perfectionism and the disease to please. There will also be the opportunity to build your network.

The course consists off three components:

1.Getting started: online introduction on time management with a practical assignment

2.High impact - live training session from 12:30 till 17:00

3.Online follow up assignments with exercises through e-mail – from the toolkit time management
