Objective:
IoT devices are everywhere these days. From that smartwatch on our wrist to the smart TVs in our living rooms. While they are super convenient to have, they are also collecting personal information about the users. In this project, we want to focus specifically on the data collected by devices that use Bluetooth protocol. We plan to analyse the bluetooth traffic between the IoT device and the smartphone and also the network traffic produced by the corresponding companion app. The inference from this analysis would be useful in understanding how much of our personal information these devices are collecting and also sharing with third parties.
