Description:

Nowadays the concept of steganography is on the rise and very popular among attackers. The cybercrime group usually focuses on an E-commerce page to extract payment details for a user. A very recent case was reported by a Dutch cybersecurity firm ‘Sansec’ about this. The attackers use the concept of image steganography to hide the malicious code of a web page where retailers do their payment processing.  Also, they make use of the social images that are generally used by the site administrators to make their website popular, for example, an icon of Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc. The project aims to identify/detect such threats. The hackers hide malware in these social images to access the required information. The project aims to identify methods that can alert a company about this threat in advance to protect information.
