Abstract:

Contract employees play a vital role in today's workforce, contributing specialized skills and expertise to organizations. However, the existing literature on performance management systems often overlooks the unique dynamics and challenges associated with monitoring the performance of contract employees. This research project addresses this gap by developing a comprehensive performance management framework specifically tailored to contract employees' needs. Through a systematic literature review, the limitations of existing frameworks and models were identified, including the lack of specific considerations for contract employees, limited integration of qualitative measures, and inadequate feedback and coaching mechanisms. The proposed framework aims to bridge these gaps by incorporating relevant theories, addressing the distinct dynamics of contract employment, and providing effective performance monitoring and improvement strategies. By implementing this framework, organizations can enhance the performance evaluation and development of their contract employees, ultimately maximizing their contributions to the organization's success. This research offers valuable insights and practical guidelines for organizations seeking to enhance their performance management practices for contract employees, ultimately driving organizational success and maximizing the potential of their workforce.
