Gijs Kooij is a Phd student in the group of Multiscale Modeling and Simulation in the Department of Applied Mathematics at University of Twente.
There he is involved in the development of numerical methods for the simulation of highly turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard and Taylor-Couette flows. He works under supervision of Prof. Bernard Geurts and Dr. Mike Bochev.
Gijs received a master's degree in aerospace engineering from the Delft University of Technology in 2013.
