In this project he applied biometric techniques on features that have a forensic meaning, in particular FISWG characteristic descriptors. His Ph.D. work supervisors were Raymond Veldhuis and Luuk Spreeuwers. He is a lecturer affiliated to the TE group. His research interests are broad and currently encompass signal processing, communication and related topics in the domain of applied mathematics and deep learning.
