Teaching staff

Course description

This course presents a wide range of introductory topics in the field of digital signal processing, both theoretical and practical.

Students are also introduced to a selection of 2D DSP topics representing classical and modern deep learning approaches. These topics are optional and are excluded from the exam.

Specific topics treated include sampling theory, aliasing, LTI digital systems, Discrete-Time Fourier Transform (DTFT), Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT), Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), z-Transform, FIR and IIR digital filters, and sample-rate conversion.

Required background for this course is Calculus and Continuous Linear Systems.
