Domino: domino-effects due to (digital) connectivity in the chemical industry

In today's chemical industry, companies are not just physically connected, but also digitally and through supply chains. This increases the mutual dependency of chemical companies, and creates vulnerabilities for risk propagation through chain- and domino-effects. In this exploratory project, we investigate what risk assessment tools exist for mapping and quantifying risks for domino effects, what barriers exist for their adoption by companies, and what functionality is missing from current risk assessment methods.
