Matthias Volk received the Manfred Nagl Award 2022 for his PhD thesis "Dynamic Fault Trees: Semantics, Analysis and Applications" which he wrote under the supervision of Prof. Joost-Pieter Katoen at RWTH Aachen University.
The newly endowed Manfred Nagl Award was presented during the 50-year anniversary celebration of the Department of Computer Science at RWTH Aachen University.
The award is supported by the DSA- Daten und Systemtechnik GmbH and honours outstanding dissertations in computer science with the potential to implement the researched solution in the form of a company start-up.
