S.D.V. Chassé, the jazzdance association of the University of Twente is looking for a:
JAZZ DANCE TEACHER
Per September 2024, Chassé is looking for an enthusiastic professional to teach inspiring jazzdance classes to students for 2.5 hours per week.
THE ASSOCIATION
S.D.V. Chassé is the student Jazzdance association of the University of Twente.
The association was founded 13 years ago and now consists of about 40 members studying in Enschede. All members are passionate about Jazzdance and like to develop their dancing skills further. The members are divided into four groups so that everyone dances at the right level. The weekly classes take place on the campus of the University of Twente.
During the 2.5-hour classes, attention is paid to both technique and learning choreography. In addition, we organize two performances per year in which students can present their dance skills. Besides the regular classes, we organize various activities to increase the involvement of our members and create a close-knit community, which enhances the atmosphere in the classes.
What we ask for:
S.D.V. Chassé is looking for a teacher who
- holds or is studying for a dance teacher's diploma,
- has experience in creating various jazz choreography,
- can teach enthusiastically, inspiring and energetically,
- can appropriately challenge all four levels from beginner to advanced,
- is available on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:30 p.m. (2.5 hours), and about twice a year on a weekend,
- is proficient in English, and is willing to teach in English.
