As a consolation for those of you who were looking forward to the Café Theater Festival Double Bill: paying visitors will receive a free ticket for Hotel Rock Bottom a dance performance by MAN||CO. MAN||CO was the winner of the Café Theater Festival 2017.

This beautiful double bill with the two winners of the Café Theater Festival 2018 starts with audience award winner Linde Baaijens’ personal, poetical music theatre production Daddy Issues (in Dutch). Even if you don’t understand Dutch, you might enjoy the music. During the second half of the double bill, language is no problem since it’s a dance performance by jury prize winners Youri and Marie: Mourning Mourning.
"It’s slowly slipping away from his hands. He does not accept it, he refuses to give up and
attempts to hold on to it, to have one last dance". How do we deal with ending? That is what Morning, Mourning questions, dragging a lifeless body through space, as an endless journey into a hopeless effort.

Marie Khatib Shahidi and Youri Peters work together since 2015. They first choreographic encounter was at El Colectivo a collective in Paris. After that they wanted to work together more intensive. Their first work they made and perform together is Mourning, Morning. Together and apart they performed for Jasper van Luijk, Companhia Instavel, Sharon Fridman, Arkétip, De Dansers, Karine Saporta and Staattstheater Kassel.
