Aim
In our hub Designing for Learning & Change, we try to
- understand effective learning & change designs and design processes
- and improve our associated design and design research craft
to contribute to better design research practices and a better society. We do so by emphasizing and building bridges between 1) learning, change & design theories 2) design research methodology and 3) practical design skills and expertise. This explicitly includes different perspectives on design and research (including educational design research, validation studies, action-based research), all to stimulate cross-fertilization between fields related to design research.
Activities
- We have a common Teams team in which members can discuss topics, share insights, and inspire each other.
- We have monthly sessions with our hub, typically on the third Monday of the month at 13:00-14:30. In these meetings, any member can bring up topics related to the aim of the hub, be it only a small topic for part of the meeting, or for the full meeting timeslot. A meeting schedule is shared on Teams.
- When there is a shared interest or a clear opportunity arises, we are also open to organize joint workshops or other types of sessions and look for paper or grant writing opportunities based on shared interests of (a sub-selection of) the members.
How to join?
The hub is open to scholars who are interested and do work related to the aim described above. To join, please approach Dr. Frank Leoné.
