Location

Period

Brief description of the assignment

Many parents of neurodivergent children (eg autism, ADHD) struggle with supporting their child, and experience stress as a consequence. We developed a positive psychology app for these parents, ADAPPT, to help parents cope with these challenges. ADAPPT is currently being evaluated in a randomized controlled trial (RCT). More information about the app or the study can be found here:
https://www.utwente.nl/nl/bms/adappt/

We are interested in the experiences of these parents with the app and conduct an interview study. You can help us with the coordination  of the trial and conduct (some of the) interviews, to learn more about parents’ experiences with app.

As part of our study on the experiences and effectiveness of the app, we are collecting data about mental well-being. We will invite you to help us find out what is known and what is unknown in literature about mental well-being and mental illness (much is known about stress) in parents of neurodivergent children, so we can decide where out were our data can fill knowledge gaps.

There are some other interesting challenges, such as seeing how to prepare for a conference presentation and learning more about the life of a researcher/PhD 😊.

I am looking for a Dutch-speaking student because of the Dutch interviews.
