Women’s Health: Self-management support for women with endometriosis

Type of assignment:                     MA thesis and/ or Master Internship

Internal or external?:                    Interfaculty collaboration at the UT

Maximum number of students:     2

Individual collecting of data?        Yes

Type of research:                         to be determined

Description of the assignment:

Endometriosis is a gynaecological condition characterised by varying pain and fatigue symptoms, which can significantly impact well-being. Treatment often overlooks contributing factors and psychological consequences. While self-management strategies may be helpful in these challenges, treatment guidelines in the Netherlands lack clear recommendations for (tailored) self-management support.

In your thesis (and / or internship) you will concentrate on one aspect of self-management support for women with endometriosis, you will build on previous results of our research and take into account the needs and wishes of patients and health care providers. You can specialize in building technological self-management support or dive into the symptom related self-management working mechanisms or you might wish to concentrate on information needed for tailoring and personalization of self-management for endometriosis. You choose research methods that align the best with your individual research questions.

Who are we looking for? Interested in working transdisciplinary and with patients and health care providers
