The assignment |
In Transfore, a multisite institution in eastern Netherlands, forensic psychiatric patients are being treated. We aim to continuously improve treatment of these patients, among other things via research. Transfore is conducting research in three domains. For one of these we offer an internship: continuity of care. As part of our research domain Continuity of care, longitudinal research is currently being conducted. As part of this study, we are gathering anonymous data on patients who have been treated in both clinical and outpatient facilities of Transfore. In this internship, we offer the possibility to analyse a part of these data in search of knowledge on the pathways these forensic psychiatric patients have followed. You will formulate a research question in collaboration with the researcher assigned to this project. Transfore harbours a small research department which comes together every Thursday in Deventer. Our department is part of the management office of Transfore. During this internship, you will be a member of our research group and of the management office and will be offered the opportunity to be part of this small but enthusiastic group of people. We are looking for an independently working team player. A structured and organized mind might come in handy. For this project, knowledge of or a willingness to learn both excel and SPSS are necessary. Fluency in Dutch is not necessary, although the ability to quickly understand terms might come in handy. Perseverance and some patience might be needed since the data need to be restructured. Besides an interesting project, we offer weekly meetings with an experienced supervisor. Transfore offers internship compensation in line with the CAO-GGZ. We also offer a place to work at, in Deventer for one or two days a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. |
