On 22 May, the Centre for European Studies and the Section of Public Administration at the University of Twente welcomed a group of PhD scholarship holders of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. The visitors were welcomed by Prof.dr. René Torenvlied, were introduced to the history of the CES by
dr. Rik Reussing, and listened to a career talk of former UT student dr. Chris Breuer (Urenco).
After a short coffee break, three members of the Section of Public Administration presented and discussed their ongoing research with the PhD students.
Dr. Elif Karacan talked about intra-European mobility in times of de- and re-bordering, dr. Stefan Telle presented a paper on Brexit and dissensus over liberal democracy and dr. Shawn Donnelly focused on the transatlantic politics in hard times.
