Summary
The overall objective of the project was to provide a first assessment of the European Universities Initiative, to elaborate on the main challenges and to identify perspectives for the future of transnational higher education collaboration. The project (1) assessed the selection criteria and processes applied for the three calls for proposals to the EUI with regards to geographical balance and the institutional profile of the participating higher education institutions; (2) analyzed the challenges and opportunities of the initiative regarding areas such as governance, funding, policy; and (3) considered future development scenarios for transnational institutional cooperation.
