Post-graduate courses
MODELING HEALTH AND ECONOMIC OUTCOMES USING DISCRETE EVENT SIMULATION IN R
Discrete event simulation (DES) is an individual-level simulation modeling method which offers much more flexibility regarding model structure than traditionally used (cohort) state-transition models. This post-graduate course provides all the knowledge and tools required to implement discrete event simulation models in R and does not require extensive prior modeling expertise. Comprehensive hands-on exercises and expert lectures will help participants to develop their future-proof simulation skills. This course will be provided fully online, for four days across two weeks: on October 22, 25, 29, and November 1, 2024. For more information on the course program and for registration, see the DES course brochure below.
