Location: Fletcher Hotel De Broeierd. Take train to Hengelo, take bus 9 in the direction of Enschede, get off at Enschede De Broeierd. Walk to Hengelosestraat 725.
The topic of the afternoon session will be Examination. Speakers will give short introductory talks (15 minutes) after which there is room for discussion in smaller groups (25 minutes).
Discussion topics
· Formative testing with shiny apps
· Open book examination
· Learning analytics with Xerte educational software
The meeting will be combined with the final meeting of the SURF-funded ShareStats project, that puts together a national open item bank for statistics examination. Another important aim of ShareStats is to create a Dutch community of statistics teachers. For such a platform they’ve sought out the VVSOR Statistics Education section, hence the co-organisation of the VVSOR and the ShareStats meeting. Everyone attending the ShareStats final meeting is invited to join this first VVSOR StatsEd meeting, and vice versa.
The morning session will be organised by the ShareStats project for all interested. Participation can be both live and online. The afternoon session will be devoted to the VVSOR Stats Education section, on the topic of examination. This can only be attended live and is interactive. Discussions can be continued at the end of the afternoon, enjoying drinks and some bites.
