Study to Design a Higher Education Strategy for Ethiopia
The project's overall objective is to develop a Higher Education Strategy for Ethiopia in support of the national Ministry of Education. The strategy is needed as an instrument to guide the governance and steering of the Higher Education sector in a dynamic environment characterized by a growth in demand matched by intensive government efforts to expand supply with structural investments and legislative and regulatory measures to support these. The consultancy designs and implements a participatory process for the development of a higher education strategy. The project is funded by the German Federal Enterprise GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and part of its Sustainable Training and Education Programme (STEP). It runs from 2016-2017.
