Our scientists are internationally recognised for their contributions to both fundamental and applied research in fields such as health, climate, energy, water, and chip technology.
Education and research are closely intertwined, with a strong focus on the development of systems and devices for these application areas. We investigate the materials and processes that underpin emerging technologies and work closely with industry and leading national and international research institutes. Our research is largely funded by industrial partners, external organisations, and science foundations.
