IACIS is an associated member of IUPAC
Associated Organizations are international organizations that share common goals and interests with IUPAC.
Their international scope of activities will be obvious in their title or statues without limitation to any part of the world. The Council, IUPAC’s governing body, makes the choice and decides what organization IUPAC wishes to be associated. The Council does not make a competitive decision to associate with another international organization that is already associated with IUPAC and avoids association with both at the same time.
