Surface bubbles in electrolysis

Project Description: In electrochemical reactions where a gas is produced, we encounter bubbles growing on the electrode surface. This partially blocks the reaction surface, increases the overall resistance of the electrochemical cell, and leads to a drop in the current.

The aim of the project is to


understand the dynamics of these electrochemically generated bubble: their nucleation, growth and detachment.
