Rhyme Scene Investigation
The theme of the EAFS2012 (European Academy of Forensic Science Conference) in The Hague was Forensics 2.0 and innovation. The participants of the conference were asked to take part in one of the largest experiments that has ever been conducted in poetry forensics (see for more information about poetry forensics: http://eafs2012.eu/poetry-forensics.html). The goals of the experiments was to find the text of a hidden poem. This could be done by making use of the hints and clues that were hidden in the conference building and that were given during the excursions and other activities. Brigitte Bruijns solved the poem completely correctly and was drawn as winner from the other people that were 100% correct. A nice certificate and a book full of good poems was the prize, besides sitting on the front row at the closing ceremony in the neighbourhood of Her Majesty the Queen. After the ceremony, Beatrix, the Queen of The Netherlands, invited some people for a toast to celebrate the successful conference. As a prize winner Brigitte Bruijns was also invited for this informal drink in presence of the Queen.
