Curriculum vitae

I studied mineralogy/crystallography at Kiel University (diploma thesis: “Investigations on (TMA)2[PtF6] and K2[TiF6]” under the supervision of Prof. Küppers). From 1999 until 2004 I worked as a Ph.D. student in the group of Prof. Ulli Steiner at Groningen University, dept. of polymer chemistry. I did research on the growth of patterned oxide thin films (mainly HTSC Bi2212, Y123, also ZnO, Al2O3, PbTiO3, and TiO2) from polymer precursor solutions. Extensive research was done on the epitaxy of the HTSC compounds and PbTiO3.

From January until October 2005 I worked as a post-doc researcher in the Institute for Materials and Surface Technology at Kiel University of Applied Sciences in the group of Prof. Es-Souni. Here I manufactured pattered films of TiO2, Pb(Zr,Ti)O3, and (La,Sr)MnO3.

In November 2005 I joined the Inorganic Materials Science group at Twente University as a post-doc.
