On June 15-17, 2011 the seminar Advanced Functional Polymers for Medicine 2011 will be held on the campus of the University of Twente in Enschede, The Netherlands. The seminar is organized by professors Dirk Grijpma and Andreas Lendlein, and is hosted by the Department of Biomaterials Science and Technology.
This meeting is the sequel to the very successful 459th WE-Heraeus seminar on Degradable Polymers as Biomaterials held 30 May-2 June 2010 in Bad Honnef, Germany. It will be one in a series of yearly seminars on Advanced Functional Polymers for Medicine, where leading scientists are invited to present their latest research in the field. These meetings are characterized by their small scale, minimal cost, excellent science and ample opportunity for discussions.
