Robin Klem was born November 2nd 1991 in Wageningen. He obtained his Bachelor degree in Biopharmaceutical Sciences at Leiden University, the Netherlands, in 2012. For his bachelor project, he studied the metal catalyzed oxidation and the resulting structural changes of insulin and potential antioxidants that could prevent this, supervised by Dr. Ricardo Torosantucci. Continuing Biopharmaceutical Sciences during his Master in Leiden, he wrote his master thesis about using micro flow imaging techniques as novel techniques to analyze cell viability. This project was supervised by Dr. Prof. Wim Jiskoot (Leiden Academic Center for Drug Research) and Dr. Pauline Meij (Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum).
In September 2015 Robin started his PhD in the BioMolecular Nanotechnology group supervised by Prof. Jeroen J.L.M. Cornelissen. The aim of his project is to modify the interior and exterior of nanocage particles.
