Melanie Brasch, M.Sc.
Melanie Brasch was born in Wuppertal, Germany, on 6th of June 1984. She studied chemical biology at the University of Dortmund, Germany, where she received her degree in August 2007. During her bachelor project she studied the immobilization of biomolecules onto surfaces. In July 2009, she received her master degree in Biochemie with a thesis entitled: ”Cucurbituril mediated protein immobilization”. The work was carried out in the group of Prof. Jurriaan Huskens at the Department of Supramolecular Chemistry & Nanofabrication, Molecular Nanofabrication group (MnF) of the University of Twente.
Since September 2009, she is a Ph.D. candidate under supervision of Prof. Dr. J.J.L.M. Cornelissen at the University of Twente. The aim of her project is to control the stability and morphology of polymer/protein complexes by changing the properties of the polyelectrolyte guest material.
