The research in the Energy Technology Group focuses on the thermal conversion and application of biofuels. The fundamental aspects of combustion, gasification and pyrolysis of biomass, waste and other fuels are studied in our well-equipped laboratory. Furthermore, these processes are developed into efficient and low-cost technology. Parallel to the experimental work, mathematical models are developed as a design tool for these thermal conversion processes.

Our ambition is To develop efficient, economical and sustainable technologies for the conversion of biomass and waste into sustainable fuels, heat and power.
