ScienceCafé
Science Café Enschede (Dutch website) is an initiative of the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences, organised by a team of people with diverse professional backgrounds from both within and outside the region. It is the place where the latest scientific developments are combined with big questions, straightforward answers and lively debate.
Throughout the evening, a VJ blends music and visuals to create an engaging atmosphere. There are no lecture halls or tedious monologues. Instead, scientists speak passionately about their work and welcome discussion with the audience.
Science Cafés, which are also organised in other cities, offer an accessible way to exchange ideas about scientific developments.
