Information on the Professional PhD Program by PNN

From today on, PhD candidates can apply for the Professional PhD Program (PPP), an initiative of the Promovendi Netwerk Nederland (PNN). In the PPP, PhD candidates get the opportunity to work at an organization outside the university and work on a problem from the daily life of that organization. With this program, PNN would lke to improve the job perspectives of PhD candidates, and make industry and governmental organizations more aware of the added value of PhD candidates. On top of that, PPP offers universities the opportunity to improve their ties with the industry.

By now, a few vacancies are readily available (at present for Dutch PhDs) for projects at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the "Raad voor Maatschappelijke Ontwikkeling" (Council for Social Developments) and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Are you a PhD candidate and are you interested? Then apply now on the PPP website,! You will also find more information there about the project.

PNN is still actively looking for vacancies for the PPP. Is your organization interested in participating, please contact us through

PPP is financed with a subsidy by SoFoKles, the social fund for the knowledge branch. Look for more information on
