As part of the leadership team in the Cloud Services, Platforms and Office of the CTO organization, Jose co-defines and synthesizes operational strategies for much of Cisco’s growth portfolio: Next-Generation Data Center, Cloud Services, Data & Analytics, Developer Innovations, and Orchestration & Management. This includes responsibility for transforming and leading all aspects of strategy, portfolio management, fiscal year planning & execution, organizational strategy, and governance.
In this role, Jose works closely with members of Cisco’s executive leadership team (ELT), key drivers throughout the org’s business, as well as within BU’s across Cisco including counterparts in operations and program groups. Jose reports to Zorawar Biri Singh, Cisco’s CTO and SVP of Cloud Services and Platforms.
Prior, Jose served as Vice President of Business Operations for Cisco’s Global Service Provider Engineering Segment and Chief of Staff to the Senior Vice President of the Service Provider Engineering organization. In this role, she led the progam management office and steering committees for the full lifecycle of solutions, from creation to operationalization. Working together with key business counterparts in Sales, Services, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, and HR, she led a single, global strategy and portfolio process. She was responsible for transforming and leading all aspects of strategy, portfolio management, fiscal year planning & execution, organizational strategy, and governance for this $11B business.
Additionally, Jose was Vice President of Marketing Transformation and Operations for Cisco’s Global Marketing and Corporate Communications organization (GMCC). Before joining GMCC, Jose served as Cisco’s Vice President for Country Enablement where she parnered with function stakeholders to implement an agile operating model that resulted in the creation of 26 business entities in only 9 months.
Jose has held a variety of leadership positions at Cisco for customer service operations in the Netherlands, Europe, and Emerging markets. She established Cisco’s first decentralized Customer Service organizations in the Asia-Pac and Japan theatres and has led the operations of several country boards and councils for Brazil, Mexico, Russia, India and China. Jose joined Cisco in 1997 with more than 18 years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics and customer service management for global, high technology companies. Prior to Cisco, she held operations management positions at Apple Computer and Texas Instruments.
She relocated to the United States from the Netherlands in 2009 and is currently based in San Jose, California. She is married with two children and enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, and traveling. She is on the board for the south chapter of a non-profit called the March for Babies.
