Studium Generale: The genius of Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein is considered to be one of the greatest scientists of all time. He formulated the ground-breaking theories of General and Special Relativity, from which he derived his famous equation E=mc2. He explained the photoelectric effect, for which he received the Nobel prize, and co-developed the concept of Bose-Einstein Condensation. Both theories were key in the development of quantum mechanics. Einstein’s work have been described as the single most important contribution by one man to science. How can we understand this genius and his amazing theories?

Prof. dr. ir. Hans Hilgenkamp is Professor of Physics (UT).
